Staff

Neil Muscott Managing Director

A professional writer, performer and director, Neil earned his living for over twenty years in theatre (Second City, Harbourfront, Bad Dog Theatre), on radio (CBC) and on television (CBC, City-TV, TVO, Comedy Network). He has held management positions and served on the boards of several arts organizations. Neil has been living in Peterborough on and off for ten years while working down the highway. He looks forward to supporting and promoting new and emerging artists from all disciplines.

Ian Osborn Production Facilities Manager

A veteran audio engineer with more than three decades experience in all aspects of the music industry, Ian has spent the past four years working in the Arts Umbrella's Media Centre, mentoring members in many aspects of audio/visual production. During his career, Ian has released eleven CDs of his own work, composed fifteen original scores for video and dance performance, editing a dozen independent video works and accumulated some 400 CD production credits.

April Steele Events and Web Media Coordinator

April is a practising visual artist and freelance curator originally from Peterborough. She majored in drawing and painting at the Ontario College of Art and Design in Toronto and has exhibited her artwork internationally.

Jill Staveley Chair

Jill Staveley is an active musician, sound technician and open mic host. She spends her days (and often her nights) working as the Production Manager and Local Music Archivist at Trent Radio (92.7 CFFF FM). She hopes to one day rock your socks off.

Tim Wilson Vice Chair, HR Committee

Tim “Hoagy” Wilson moved to Peterborough in 2000. He discovered the PAU via the Media Centre, and has been on the board since 2005. He is a writer and filmmaker.

Nicole Conboy Treasurer

Nicole Conboy is a visual artist, pizza maker and arts and crafts show organizer. Using mainly recycled materials found on adventurous walks home from Peterborough’s booming Night Life Scene, Conboy would like to bring more colour into your life.

Jillian Bishop Secretary, HR Committee

Jillian Bishop is a locally based organic farmer, educator and cut/paste designer. Through her obsession with growing and photographing her cultivations, she has created a small business which melds art and farming to help spread her seeds throughout local gardens and farms.

Ryan Kennedy Staff Liaison

Ryan Kennedy is a working musician and an active member of Peterborough's Arts Community. He spends his time working tirelessly on his music, as well as educating emerging artists on the ins and outs of the music industry.

Drea Nasager Performing Arts Working Group

Drea Nasager has called Peterborough her ‘homebase’ since 1999 when she first moved here as a Trent student. A singer and songwriter since the age of 11, she didn't discover the guitar until 8 years later, and since then she hasn't looked back. As an emerging artist, the ‘next step’ always eluded Drea until she found the PAU where she was provided every opportunity to realize her artistic goals as an artist and musician. She has been performing for 8 years now, and is a strong force within Peterborough's Music Scene.

Patti Shaughnessy Board Member

Patti Shaughnessy is a graduate from the Centre for Indigenous Theatre in Toronto, and studied dance at the Banff Centre for Arts in Alberta during the summer of 2003. She inaugurated the first Optic Nerve Moving Media series in Peterborough as well as the “Moving Cultures Comparative Dance Program” through the Peterborough Arts Umbrella. Currently Patti is employed at Peterborough New Dance/ Public Energy, a well established presenter of contemporary dance and performance.

Spatch HR Committee

Spatch is a professional fire spinner and leather worker. He loves life and has a good time doing it.
