The February Market and Networking Meeting for the Peterborough Local Economic Trading System (LETS) is Sat. Feb. 16, 9-12 at the Peterborough Public Library's Lower Auditorium on Alymer St. Admission is free. Non member vendors are welcome to book a table. All tables must be booked and paid for in advance. There is something for everyone.

Buttercup & Co. hosts its Grand Opening Party from 1 - 4 p.m. at the store (381 Queen St., Peterborough). The opening of Buttercup & Co., Peterborough's eco-chic boutique, will be catered by Black Honey (sweets and sandwiches, coffee and tea) and La Hacienda (finger foods), and will include live music, give-aways more. The Peterborough Singers host a Valentine Concert beginning at 7:30 p.m. at George St. United Church (534 George. St., Peterborough). The concert will feature soprano Leslie Fagan, countertenor Daniel Taylor, Alexander Dobson on bass, and the Peterborough Children's Chamber Choir. For more information, click here for details. The Rainbow Service Organization, Rainbow Youth Coalition, and PARN present MELT, a Spoken Word and Dance event, 9 p.m. – 2 a.m. at Market Hall (336 George St., Peterborough). This is an all-ages event. Admission is $5. Those interested in performing in the spoken word portion of the evening are invited to email rick@rainbowservice.org.
