Love Letters to a Dinosaur: opening reception at the PAU

Curated by Jessica Rowland, Love Letters to a Dinosaur  is a thoughtfully Valentine themed art exhibition featuring new works by artists Scott Andrew Elliott, (recently back from completing his MFA in Finland), Virpi Velin, Wendy Trusler, Leigh Macdonald, Shannon Taylor, Carly Moran, John Climenhage, Sacha Archer, Jessica Rowland, Micky Renders, Peter Barron and a shiny new stop animation by Leigh Kotsilidis. You are invited to join the artists at the opening reception, which will be held on Saturday February 9th, from 2-6pm at The Peterborough Arts Umbrella. The well known Focus Fair craft show will be held in the adjoining space, so come to enjoy the work of local artists, and peruse the valentine's offerings of local artisans as well. The opening reception will feature poetry readings by local writers as well as food, drink and general revelry and merriment. The opening reception will also feature a free, one-time-only matchmaking experiment. Come to the gallery during the opening reception for your interview, and be matched with your dream partner just in time for Valentines! The Gallery will be open for viewing during the Peterborough Arts Umbrella's regular business hours, Tuesday to Friday from 10am to 5pm.
