13 Roofs for 13 Families

Mar 30 2008 - 7:00pm

Help build roofs for 13 Columbian refugee families in Ecuador.

Tambillo is a small town half an hour away by boat from San Lorenzo, Ecuador. The community we are trying to build houses for are a group of refugees from Columbia who suffered at the hands of the FARC.

One ticket at $10 buys one piece of aluminum, and each roof needs approximately 20 pieces. While the families have already started building their homes out of materials that they have gathered, they can't afford aluminum for the roofs. The houses are modest but will be their own and will return some stability to their way of life.
