Upcoming Workshops: Our 2009 workshop series continues in March, with "Have Your Garden and Eat It Too!" with Cathy Hooper on Wednesday evenings (7pm to 9pm) from March 4 to April 22. This eight-session workshop will provide you with the basic information necessary to grow food in your own backyard (or someone else's). Begin by designing your garden spaces, and then learn about edible herbs, fruits, vegetables and flowers that you can grow in Peterborough. You will learn to pay attention to the beauty and arrangement of these plants and feast your eyes was well as your bellies. Cathy has been learning about and experimenting with ornamental edibles for the past five years, and has ran and worked on organic vegetable farms. Registration is limited to 20 participants. Course fee (for entire eight-week session): $80 for PAU members and $100 for non-members.
We would like to thank those who have donated generously to the PAU! Help the PAU support artists in Peterborough and the Kawarthas. Your donation will help support the PAU's annual programming and will help bring the arts into our community. We are currently accepting donations by cheque (made out to The Peterborough Arts Umbrella), or though CanadaHelps.org.
