Projects
The PAU assists and facilitates a number of ongoing community and member driven projects. We encourage other groups through facility and office space rentals, sponsorship memberships, administrative support and publicity.

Focus Fair
The PAU is proud to host the Focus Fair - an amazing showcase of local crafting talent and wonderful goods for sale. Artisans display their creative wares, with products ranging from jewellry to seed gardens. Stop in and check out the fresh products the Focus Fair has to offer. Please check our events calendar to find out when the next Focus Fair will be held.
The Focus Fair was started in 2005 by Nicole Conboy and Julia Fenn. It was originally held at Sadleir House and has since been held in various locations around Peterborough. In February 2007, the Focus Fair came to the PAU and became a monthly happening. Nicole and Julia have also organized the arts and crafts portion of the Peterborough Folk Festival and the Artsweek Street Party since 2005.
If you are an artisan interested in taking part in the Focus Fair, please contact focusfair@gmail.com or www.myspace.com/focusfair.
Vending fees are $15 for PAU members and $25 for non-members.

Optic Nerve Film Festival
Optic Nerve provided a unique view of the larger community through the lenses of two distinct components: local independent and Aboriginal media makers. Established in 2001, Optic Nerve's Festival was presented annually. Programming included films, workshops, talks, and other events. Though the PAU no longer presents the Optic Nerve Film Festival, there are several other festivals and film-presenting venues in Peterborough that continue and expand in the work of Optic Nerve.
Moving Cultures Dance Festival
Established in 2002, this annual 5-day Festival was designed specifically for school audiences (grades 4 through 12), and delivered meaningful artistic experiences, curriculum enhancement, and cross-cultural exploration through dance presentations and artist/audience interaction. Programming focused on Canadian artists performing cultural dances from around the world. Moving Cultures was presented at Peterborough's historic venue, The Market Hall Performing Arts Centre.
